Thousands of New Yorkers are waking up today with a white start to their Thanksgiving as a massive cold front is sweeping across the state today.

Lake Effect Snow In Western New York

Western New Yorkers are waking up to plenty of lake effect snow off Lake Erie this morning. The snow started falling late on Wednesday and is expected to continue through Friday. Some areas in the Southern Tier could get as much as 2 feet of snow.

 

Heavy Snow Expected In Central And Northern New York

More lake effect snow is expected to move through Central and Northern New York. There is a Lake Effect Snow Warning issued for Oneida, Onondaga, and Madison counties today until 7 am on Saturday. There could be up to 7 inches of snow with heavy wind gusts up to 40 miles per hour.
