In an interview with PEOPLE, Brooklyn Adams revealed that she co-founded the St. Brown Foundation with her boyfriend, Amon-Ra St. Brown, after she completed her nursing course. Brooklyn also revealed that she has transitioned from working at a hospital to serving as the lead of a non-profit organization focused on youth literacy in Michigan. She said:
