BED-STUY — ACTRESS SARITA CHOUDHURY officiated the wedding of playwright Arun Welandawe-Prematilleke and writer Jack Jacobson during a community-themed ceremony at Herbert von King Park, PEOPLE reports. The couple asked Choudhury, whom Welandawe-Prematilleke met while developing the play “The House Is Burning,” after “a couple of drinks,” and she was “thrilled” to accept.
The actress wore a pinstriped suit to officiate the intimate ceremony, which incorporated both families, including relatives traveling from Sri Lanka and across the U.S. A reception followed at neighborhood wine bar Frog.
