Four adults and two children were displaced after a cooking fire destroyed their home in Morrisonville, New York on Thanksgiving.Morrisonville Fire Department Chief Mike Recore said the home at 23 Brookside Avenue is a total loss after a fire broke out in the garage. Recore said the family was deep-frying a turkey when the oil spilled and caused the two cars in the garage to catch fire. The flames then spread to the house.At least one of the cars were destroyed as well along with the garage. No members of the family were injured.The Northeastern New York Chapter of the American Red Cross said they are providing aid for the family.
