Pittsburgh Steelers LB Patrick Queen suffered an injury in the second quarter of the team’s Week 13 matchup against the Buffalo Bills. Josh Allen converted a first down on a designed QB run on third down, and Queen stayed down after the play.

Queen motioned for trainers on the sideline, grabbed at his head, and stayed on the ground while trainers attended to him. Queen is an every-down linebacker and the Steelers’ green-dot play caller, and he’ll likely be replaced by a combination of Malik Harrison and Cole Holcomb while he’s out. LB Payton Wilson will also be in line for increased snaps.

Queen hobbled off the field to get checked out in the blue medical tent.

He has been an important piece of Pittsburgh’s defense and is second on the team in tackles behind Wilson. While he’s struggled with missed tackles, replacing the play caller is always a little bit difficult in the middle of the game.

Queen had six tackles, a quarterback hit, and a fumble recovery before exiting the game. His six total tackles are tied with Yahya Black for the second-most on the Steelers today, with Wilson leading the team with seven.
