CRESSKILL, NJ — ANN ANGELETTI, a Brooklyn native who left school as a child to help her family’s grocery business, is still running her jewelry store at 101 years old, proving passion never retires, abc7 reports in a feel-good feature. Angeletti, who grew up in Brooklyn and once worked at the Brooklyn Navy Yard during World War II, now operates Curiosity Jewelry in Cresskill alongside her daughter and granddaughter. She opened the store in 1964, renting it for $85 a month, and has never looked back. Angeletti still visits Manhattan’s Diamond District weekly. 

“If I retire, I would die,” she told the news outlet. 

Her secret to longevity: “Must get up, you must shower, you must eat, you must take care of yourself. You must exercise … If you don’t like what you’re doing, then change.”
