QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) — An 18-year-old man was fatally shot in the head in a Queens home on Thursday morning, police said.
The teen was shot inside a multi-family home at 172-09 108th Ave. near 173rd Street in Jamaica at around 10:45 a.m., according to the NYPD. The incident happened two blocks from P.S. 116 on 175th Street.
The victim, identified as Jonathan Adams, of Queens, was rushed to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the head but could not be saved, police said.
The motive for the shooting was unclear. A description of the shooter was not immediately available.
The investigation is ongoing.
