MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) – A KS State Bank in Manhattan is down $7,500 total after two forged checks were cashed at the bank on Friday.
According to the Riley County Police Department, officers filed two reports of theft at the bank in the 1000 block of Westloop Place.
The first report was filed around 10:58 a.m., and the other around 11:39 a.m.
One check was cashed in the amount of $2,500, and the other $5,000.
It is unclear whether both checks were cashed by the same suspect; however, RCPD says that these were two separate incidents.
