The MTA rolls out the New York Transit Museum’s Holiday Nostalgia trains along two New York City subway lines on Sundays in December.
The vintage 1930s train cars with rattan seats and paddle ceiling fans will operate between 2nd Avenue and Houston Street on the uptown F line and between 96th Street and 2nd Avenue on the Q line between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
The eight Independent Subway System cars remained on the MTA’s lettered lines through the 1970s and have been preserved by the Transit Museum.
