On December 1, 2025, at approximately 12:27 p.m., members of the Troop K Community Stabilization Unit conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling northbound on the Taconic State Parkway in the Town of East Fishkill for multiple violations of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law.

The operator of the vehicle was identified as Kasein Deleston, 52, of Brooklyn, New York.

State Police K-9 Vinn conducted an exterior scan of the vehicle, which resulted in a positive alert for the presence of narcotics. A subsequent search led to the discovery of a hidden compartment containing approximately 162.6 grams of cocaine.

As a result of the investigation, Deleston was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the second degree, a class A-II felony, and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree with intent to sell, a class B felony.

Deleston was arraigned in the East Fishkill Town Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Justice and Transition Center. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for December 5, 2025, at 2 p.m.
