De QUEEN, Ark. — Two men have been arrested in a fire that heavily damaged a local car dealership.

Trent Walker Gentry, 27, and Charlie Frank Moss II, 27, both of De Queen, are charged with arson of $100,000 or more in the Sept. 3 blaze at Gentry Chevrolet. They were arrested Thursday and booked into the Sevier County jail.

Information on the circumstances of the fire and how Walker and Moss were identified as suspects was not immediately available.

A number of cars were destroyed in the early-morning fire.

“Because this matter remains under investigation, no additional information will be released at this time,” according to the 9th West Judicial District prosecutor’s office.

In Arkansas, arson that causes at least $100,000 in damage is a Class Y felony punishable by 10 to 40 years or life in prison.

Arkansas State Police led the investigation, with assistance from De Queen Police Department, Sevier County Sheriff’s Office, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and state fire investigators.
