Two-car personal injury collision in Ellenburg

On December 2, 2025, at approximately 2:57 p.m., New York State Police members responded to Military Turnpike in the town of Ellenburg for a two-car personal injury collision.

An investigation determined that Susan Chaney, age 73, of Plattsburgh, was operating a gray 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander traveling south when she failed to maintain her lane, striking a gray 2024 Subaru Forester operated by Linda Myers, age 64, of Norwood, on the driver’s side.

Local fire and rescue departments arrived on scene and evaluated both operators. Chaney was transported to Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital for non-life-threatening medical treatment.

Chaney was issued a vehicle and traffic ticket returnable to the Town of Ellenburg Court at a later date.
