The famed Christmas tree that will brighten midtown Manhattan through the holidays hails from East Greenbush, New York.

It’s a 75-foot Norway spruce that weighs 11 tons, stands 75 feet tall and is 45 feet in diameter.

It was donated by the Russ family, who planted it 60 years ago.

“I’m excited to make more cherished memories with my family and childhood friends as it becomes the world’s Christmas tree,” Judy Russ said.
