The Adirondack Food System Network has two upcoming events aimed at strengthening the region’s food system through coordinated agricultural support and community building.

On Dec. 9 from noon to 4 p.m., the network will host an Agricultural Service Provider Gathering at ADK Food Hub in Tupper Lake. The event, organized in partnership with the Adirondack North Country Association, New York Farm Bureau and Lake Champlain Basin Program, brings together organizations that serve North Country farmers and producers. The afternoon will focus on coordinating services, sharing engagement strategies and identifying gaps in support for agricultural businesses. Registration is $25 and includes a local lunch.

The network is also preparing for its annual community-wide Food Justice Summit. Registration is now open for the 2026 event, scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 26, at The Wild Center in Tupper Lake. The gathering brings together leaders, advocates and neighbors committed to strengthening a more just and resilient regional food system. This year’s theme is “Community As Nourishment: Sowing the Seeds of Interdependence,” inviting participants to explore how relationships, shared purpose and collective action sustain communities. Through talks, discussions and workshops, the summit will reflect on the power of community to support, uplift and transform the food system.
