STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Egger’s Ice Cream Parlor is taking reservations for its Winter Wonderland Igloos. The cold weather program returned to Snug Harbor Cultural Center and Botanical Garden on Friday, Dec. 5, for the 2025 season.
The holiday attraction sells out annually, and guests are encouraged to book early at eggersicecream.com/reservations. The experience is designed for families, couples and friend groups looking for a festive time on bucolic Staten Island.

Each reservation includes one hour in a private heated igloo and 30 minutes in the North Pole Cottage. Guests receive holiday treats, photo opportunities, and a visit with Santa. This year’s experience features brand-new holiday sundaes and enhanced décor.
There are two packages from which to choose. The Kids’ Package, priced at $27, includes a beverage, a build-your-own sundae, a holiday lollipop, a coloring book, a craft, and a visit with Santa. The Adults’ Package, priced at $23, features a beverage, a deluxe sundae served with a warm dessert, and full access to the North Pole cottage experience.
“This year, we’re introducing some fun and exciting new touches to elevate the magic,” said Danielle Raleigh, owner of Westerleigh-based Egger’s Ice Cream Parlor. She added, “Our goal is to create a warm, memorable, and immersive holiday experience—something special for families, perfect for date nights, or a unique outing with friends.”

“We’re so excited to officially open the igloos for the season! Every year, we look forward to seeing familiar faces who return to make this part of their holiday tradition—and we can’t wait to welcome new customers to experience the magic of Egger’s Winter Wonderland for the first time. This year, we’re unveiling brand-new holiday sundaes created just for the igloos,” Raleigh said.
Whether coming from Brooklyn via the new ferry or points north of the Big Apple, she hopes New Yorkers will support their own local businesses throughout the holiday season.
“We hope everyone will come out and support local this season. You don’t need to go to New Jersey or Manhattan for a magical holiday outing—the Winter Wonderland experience is right here at home on Staten Island at Egger’s. When you choose local, you’re helping our small business, our staff, and our community thrive, and we’re so grateful for the support,” she said.
Egger’s Ice Cream Parlor has operated on Staten Island for 93 years, since opening in 1932. The business also owns Chocolate & Balloons by Egger’s, located at 1398 Forest Ave. in Port Richmond.
The Advance/SILive.com will provide a first look at the Winter Wonderland Igloos at 11:30 a.m. on the paper’s Facebook page.
