CONEY ISLAND — A 27-YEAR-OLD Coney Island man was arraigned Wednesday on charges stemming from a series of unprovoked razor and knife attacks that left three men with deep facial and neck wounds across Flatbush and East Flatbush, according to Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez. Odyssey Head is charged with attempted murder, first-degree assault and related counts, as well as arson, and was ordered held without bail pending a psychiatric exam.Â
Prosecutors allege Head slashed a man aboard a Q train on Oct. 25, then attacked two others later that day and the following morning, narrowly missing a major artery in one case. Authorities have also linked him to a burglary and multiple fires set inside a Flatbush residential building the same weekend.Â
Head was arrested after a wanted flyer circulated for the arson; police recovered a kitchen knife believed to have been used in the attacks.
