STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Celebrities Colin Jost and Pete Davidson’s proposal to dock their decommissioned John F. Kennedy ferryboat at Pier 1 and operate it as an entertainment venue will come before a Community Board 1 committee next week.
Davidson and Jost bought the vessel for $280,000 about four years ago, planning to turn it into a site for floating restaurants, bars, and performance spaces.
The meeting is among several public Staten Island Community Board meetings being held this week.

Community Board 1
Details of the plans for the vessel owned by Jost and Peterson will be explained to the Community Board 1 New Brighton/St. George/Tompkinsville Committee on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
An explanation of every aspect of the plan is expected, a board spokesperson said. “How they plan to use it, parking, hours, everything,’’ she said. ”We just want to ask questions. They’ll probably be back again.”
