Police are actively investigating as a man was found dead early Friday morning.
Authorities say that they were called to a person who needed help at a building on East 21st Street.
Officers arriving at the location discovered a man of unknown age and pronounced him dead on scene.
Surrounding streets are swarmed with investigators from the NYPD Emergency Services unit.
The Office of Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death. His identity will be revealed when his family is notified of his death.
The investigation remains ongoing.
