Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge crash: 3 vehicles involved in Tuesday collision

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Authorities report a three-vehicle crash on the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge to Staten Island on Tuesday morning.

A lane on the lower level of the span is closed for the emergency response, according to an alert from the MTA about 10:30 a.m.

Traffic is backing up onto the span from the Gowanus Expressway, according to 511 NY.
