Police also said that the Rensselaer County Medical Legal Death Investigator’s Office is coordinating efforts to determine a cause of death and that no evidence at the scene suggests any foul play.

This is believed to be a medical event only.

Investigators did say that Stewart’s Shops corporate headquarters are fully cooperating with the investigation.

“Many news outlets have already reported on this incident, and members of the public have raised questions regarding why the male was not located until this morning,” said Chief David M. Keevern. “I defer to Stewart’s Shops corporate headquarters on that matter, as it does not directly relate to the cause of death, which remains our primary concern.”

This is an active investigation. When more information is available, we will update this article.
