Assemblyman Scott Gray (R-Watertown), who represents St. Lawrence County residents in the state Assembly, congratulated Assemblyman Ken Blankenbush on his retirement.
“Congratulations to Assemblyman Ken Blankenbush on announcing his retirement from the New York State Assembly at the end of 2026. Serving alongside Ken has been a true privilege on two separate occasions, first during his years of service on the Jefferson County Board of Legislators, and now as colleagues in the New York State Assembly. From the Town of LeRay to Albany, Ken has spent decades showing up, listening, and doing the work for the people he represents,” Gray said.
“Ken’s record speaks for itself, but what will be missed just as much is the way he carries himself: steady, kind, and always respectful, with a story ready at the exact moment it’s needed. Some folks bring talking points. Ken brings perspective,” said Gray. “Thank you, Ken, for a remarkable life in public service. The community is better because of your service.”
Gray represents the 116th District, which consists of Jefferson County and St. Lawrence County. For more information, visit Assemblyman Gray’s Official Website.
