Brooklyn Beckham has reportedly “blocked” his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, on Instagram amid rumors of an ongoing family feud.
After reports surfaced suggesting David and Victoria had unfollowed their eldest son on social media, their younger son set the record straight. Cruz, 20, shut down those claims on Sunday, Dec. 21, sharing a screenshot of a Daily Mail article on his Instagram Stories and offering his own explanation.
“NOT TRUE,” Cruz wrote, clarifying, “My mum and dad would never unfollow their son Let’s get the facts right. They woke up blocked as did I.”
Instagram does not notify users when they are blocked, and blocking automatically removes both parties from each other’s followers and following lists.
It remains clear that Brooklyn, 26, no longer follows his parents on the platform. David and Victoria also do not follow Brooklyn’s wife, actress Nicola Peltz Beckham, nor does she follow them. The digital disconnect has added fuel to long-running rumors of tension within the famous family.
The fallout is believed to have begun after Brooklyn and Nicola married in 2022. In May, the couple were notably absent from David’s 50th birthday celebration in London, which was attended by Victoria and their other children: Cruz, Romeo, 23, and Harper, 14.
That same month, Brooklyn shared a video pledging to “always choose” Nicola, followed hours later by Cruz posting a family photo, writing: “I love you guys more than anything, mum + dad, you gave us life and cared for us no matter what.”
Victoria later hinted at family strain in an interview, while Brooklyn recently brushed off criticism, telling Daily Mail, “There’s always going to be people saying negative things we just keep our heads down and work. And we’re happy.”
