President Trump endorses Bruce Blakeman for New York Governor
The president’s endorsement of the Nassau County Executive comes just days after Representative Elise Stefanik announced she was suspending her campaign for governor and would not be running for re-election to the House.

President Donald Trump is backing the Republican candidate for New York Governor, current Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman.The endorsement comes just days after Representative Elise Stefanik announced that she was suspending her campaign and would not be running for her seat in Congress. In her announcement, Stefanik called a primary against Blakeman “not an effective use of our time or your generous resources.”On Truth Social, the president wrote, in part, “As your next Governor, Bruce will continue to fight hard to Grow the Economy, Cut Taxes, and Regulations, Promote MADE IN THE U.S.A., Champion American Energy DOMINANCE, Strengthen our Military/Veterans, Advance Election Integrity, and Protect our always under siege Second Amendment!”Blakeman wrote in a statement, “I am blessed and grateful to have the endorsement of President Donald J. Trump. President Trump is driving down gasoline prices and slashing the cost of prescription drugs. Securing our borders has made America safer. President Trump loves New York and we will be partners in making New York safe and affordable.”Governor Kathy Hochul has not commented on President Trump’s endorsement. She faces a challenge for her seat from her lieutenant governor, Antonio Delgado.
