Onondaga County Water Authority (OCWA) officials said Tuesday that water conservation requests have been helping as parts of Onondaga and Madison counties continue to grapple with water supply after a complex water main break earlier this week, and are attemtping to beat the clock before pipes run dry.

Onondaga County Water Authority customers in Madison County who are impacted by the significant water main break can go to Chittenango Middle School on Wednesday from 9 a.m. to noon to receive water bottles. You can also bring your own gallon jugs to fill up.Â
3. Grant to establish teen restorative justice program in Syracuse
Syracuse’s common council voted unanimously Monday to accept a $1.5 million grant to help establish a program to aid teens in the criminal justice system.
4. Hochul will deliver 2026 State of the State address on Jan. 13 in Albany
Hochul will give the annual address at 1 p.m. at Hart Theater at the Egg in Albany, where she’s been having them after several years in the traditional setting of the Assembly chamber in Albany.
5. U.S. economy expands at surprisingly strong 4.3% annual rate in third quarter
 The U.S. economy expanded at a surprisingly strong 4.3% annual rate in the third quarter, the most rapid expansion in two years, as consumer and government spending, as well as exports, all grew. U.S. gross domestic product from July through September — the economy’s total output of goods and services — rose from its 3.8% growth rate in the April-June quarter, the Commerce Department said Tuesday in a report delayed by the government shutdown.
