BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Giovanna Grima poured in a season-high 19 points and chipped in six assists as St. Joseph by-the-Sea topped St. Anthony’s, 65-46, in the Rose Classic Hoops Festival Saturday at Bishop Loughlin HS.
Olivia DiMonda added 16 points and made a big impact on the defensive end with five steals. Lila Goldstein added eight points.
“I was really proud of our effort and composure,” said Viking head coach Josh Suslak. “St. Anthony’s is always tough, athletic and well-coached, and our kids stayed disciplined and played together for four quarters. Giovanna Grima set the tone on both ends of the floor, and has been performing at a high level lately. We certainly need leadership from our seniors and wins like this will help us grow and continue to learn how to win together.”
Sea improves to 4-3 overall and will host Tottenville in a non-league contest on Tuesday.
