Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani is set to be sworn in during a private ceremony at Old City Hall Station on New Year’s Day.
Attorney General Letitia James will attend alongside Mamdani’s family members.
Officials say the public inauguration ceremony will take place on the steps of City Hall.
A large block party will also be held along Broadway and in Manhattan.
