A fire in Parkchester injured eight people, including a firefighter, the FDNY says.
The fire broke out just before 7 a.m. on the third floor of 2143 Starling Ave. – a six-story building.
Officials say 60 fire and EMS personal responded. The crews contained the fire an hour later.
The Red Cross was at the scene helping 10 residents.
The FDNY says all injuries were considered minor. It was not immediately clear how the fire started.
