WASHINGTON — The Capitals got their licks back on the Rangers.

Just over a week after the Blueshirts throttled them inside Capital One Arena, Washington returned the favor and handed the visitors a 6-3 loss Wednesday afternoon.

It counted as the Rangers’ third loss in a row.

Despite a two-point performance from Adam Fox in his return to the lineup, the Rangers let the Caps blow the game open in the third period.

Just as one injury concern went away, however, two more popped up.

Both Noah Laba and Conor Sheary exited the game in the second period with an injury.

Laba was being evaluated for an upper-body injury he sustained on a hit from Tom Wilson, who posted two goals, an assist and a fight with Sam Carrick just hours after learning he made Team Canada’s Olympic roster.
