HOW IT HAPPENED
UC Davis came out strong, applying pressure early as Beth Munro-Morris tested the Queens goalkeeper just 34 seconds into the match.
After multiple saves by Queens’ Madison DeStefano, the Aggies broke through when Munro-Morris converted on a penalty corner at 11:52 to give UC Davis a 1-0 lead.
The Aggies extended their momentum in the second quarter as Morgan Caldera scored off an assist from Elle Louise Kocmond at 17:06.
Minutes later, Ella Franken added an unassisted strike at 24:11 to make it 3-0 before halftime.
UC Davis continued to dominate possession in the third quarter, earning several corners but was held scoreless thanks to strong goalkeeping by DeStefano.
Queens got on the board 31 seconds into the fourth quarter when Maddie Just converted a penalty corner off an assist from Hensley Miller.
The Aggies quickly responded, with Karly Redman scoring at 56:36 to restore the three-goal cushion and seal the 4-1 victory.
