A maniac shoved a 72-year-old man into the side of an oncoming train Thursday morning — marking the first random episode of Big Apple subway violence in the new year, police said.

The victim was waiting for a Manhattan-bound No. 4 train at the Bronx’s 161-Yankee Stadium station around 3:30 a.m. when the wack job pushed him, sending him flying into the train, according to cops.

Medics rushed the elderly man to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln, where he was listed in stable condition.

Police nabbed a suspect at the scene, the NYPD said. Charges against him were pending.
