QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) — There’s a new way to run for fun in New York City. Instead of jamming out in your own world through headphones, you can experience a whole concert after crossing the finish line.
Next Saturday, the inaugural Diplo’s Run Club New York 5K hits the streets of Queens. The popular DJ, along with award-winning producer and songwriter Mark Ronson, will put on performances at the finish line of the 3.1-mile run.
The race starts near the corner of Meridian Road and Rodman Walk, just south of the Fountain of Planets in Flushing Meadows Corona Park. Along the way, over 120,000 runners will jog past iconic landmarks like the Unisphere and the New York State Pavilion.

According to organizers, proceeds of the fitness-meets-festival event will benefit New York City youth sports programs.
The nationwide event has already had stops in Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle and Los Angeles. Runs in Phoenix, Miami and San Diego follow the event in Queens.
The 5K starts at 9 a.m. on Saturday. Entry for the race and the included concert experience costs $151.20, with registration opportunities closing soon.
