BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Giancarlo Sears found the net six times as St. Peter’s toppled Monsignor McClancy, 11-3, in a CHSAA A encounter Friday at The Aviator Rink.

Anthony Antenucci added three goals and three assists, while Charles Bailey (two assists) and James Boylan netted the other goals for the winners, who improved to 4-3.

McClancy actually opened the scoring 1:24 into the game, but 1:26 later, Antenucci evened it up with an assist from King.

Four minutes later, McClancy regained the lead, but Bailey scored off a nice pass from Antenucci to tie it up at 2-2. With 2:42 left in the period, Sears went end to end to regain the lead at 3-2.

“We kept pressing and 48 seconds later, Antenucci went end to end and made it 4-2 and that is how the period ended,” said St. Peter’s head coach Eddie Blackburn.

Thirty-eight seconds into the second period, Antenucci set up Sears in front of the net to make it 5-2. Four minutes later, Bailey set up Sears to make it 6-2.

But Sears didn’t take his foot off the pedal as he went full ice again to make it 7-2, 3:17 later. With 1:29 left in the period, Bailey and Sears hooked up again with Sears making it 8-2 at the end of the second.

Nearly two minutes into the third, Vandenheuvel set up Boylan to make it 9-2. And 2:09 later, Sears netted his final tally of the game unassisted to make it 10-2.
