STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The 7-year-old girl involved in Friday morning’s devastating crash remained in critical condition Saturday morning, according to a spokesperson for the Deputy Commissioner of Public Information’s Office.

The NYPD revealed that the status of all the patients involved in the New Springville collision remained unchanged.

As previously reported, police responded to a 911 call for a vehicle collision involving a Honda SUV and an Audi SUV in the vicinity of Forest Hill Road and Rockland Avenue around 9:57 a.m. Friday.

At that time, EMS transported the 7-year-old girl in critical condition to Staten Island University Hospital in Ocean Breeze. Three adults — a 50-year-old man, a 70-year-old woman and a 90-year-old man — were also transported in stable condition.

An FDNY spokesperson told the Advance/SILive.com the adults suffered serious injuries and noted that a fifth person left the scene before being evaluated by EMS.

The NYPD has been unable to provide information on which patients were in which vehicles.

Both SUVs suffered extensive visible damage to their front ends as a result of the crash.

The intersection was taped off and closed to traffic in the wake of the collision.

There are no arrests in this case and the investigation remains ongoing, according to the NYPD spokesperson.
