New tolls for Port Authority bridges & tunnels go into effect. Here’s what you need to know

Toll crossings entering New York will cost 3% more this year under new Port Authority rates that are now in effect.

During peak hours, drivers will pay $16.79 with an E-ZPass. They will pay $14.79 with an E-ZPass during off peak.

All crossings are now completely cashless, which means drivers can only pay tolls with an E-ZPass or by mail. The mail option now costs over $23.

The changes are in effect at the Outerbridge Crossing, Holland and Lincoln tunnels and the George Washington, Goethals and Bayonne bridges.
