GRAVESEND, Brooklyn (PIX11) – An argument led to a 71-year-old man being smacked with a shovel in Brooklyn on Dec. 27, according to the NYPD.

Police said it happened near Stryker Court and West 1st Street around 11:30 a.m. The suspect is accused of hitting the man with the object before fleeing the scene, according to authorities.

Police said the victim was rushed to a local hospital.

The suspect is believed to be between 20 to 25 years old, 5’11”, and has a medium build and brown beard. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, a light colored zip up jacket, brown pants, black shoes and dark colored glasses, according to authorities.
