DENVER — Unacceptable.

Unforgivable.

And unfathomable — except that this is the Giants and, well, that is how they roll sometimes.

Even for this franchise, this was something to behold. Leading 19-0 after three quarters with a defense that was humming quite a tune. Leading 26-8 with less than six minutes remaining and the math indicated the Giants were heading toward safety. And then, finally, leading 32-30 with 33 seconds left — as in, 33 ticks on the clock — and a defense that was gasping for air needed to make just one play to end it all and get them on the plane for a relieved and cheery ride home.
