The FDNY says two people were injured in a fire inside a Brooklyn Heights brownstone Monday.

The blaze erupted on the third story of the six-story building at 75 Pierrepont St. just after 3:30 p.m.

News 12 was told that three people refused medical attention.

Two people were transported to hospitals with severe injuries.

One firefighter was transported to a hospital with a severe injury.

One firefighter was evaluated on scene and refused transport to a hospital.

Fire officials on the scene say multiple floors were damaged as a result of the fire, and multiple floors suffered water damage.

One woman who lives directly below the apartment at the center of the blaze, said her neighbor ran out, screaming and covered in burns, saying that her gas line exploded when she tried to open it.

The Red Cross registered five households, including eight adults and one child for emergency assistance.
