“I am happy to announce Christian Duffy as my chief of staff,” Jabbour began in a statement.
“Christian has been a trusted ally and brings a wealth of government and political experience to this position. I am confident his presence in City Hall will help move Hoboken forward.”
Duffy has spent over a decade working on political campaigns and in state government.
After receiving his Master’s degree in social work from Fordham University, he began his career as an organizer on then-Hoboken Mayor Dawn Zimmer’s re-election campaign in 2013.
His experience has taken him all over the country, including Alaska, Nevada, Ohio and Wisconsin.
He served as the Hudson County Political Coordinator on Governor Phil Murphy’s (D) re-election campaign in 2021, as well as chief of staff to both Assemblywoman Annette Quijano and state Senator Joe Cryan (both D-20).
He also managed the successful congressional campaigns of U.S. Reps. Rob Menendez (D-8) and Herb Conaway (D-3) in 2024.
Most recently, Duffy managed Assemblyman Vinnie Kearney’s campaign, flipping the 21st Legislative District for Democrats for the first time in over 30 years.
“I am incredibly grateful to Mayor-Elect Jabbour for the privilege to serve as her Chief of Staff,” he added.
“Hoboken is where my journey in politics began, and I’m eager to get to work alongside Mayor-Elect Jabbour to build a City Hall that is more transparent, more collaborative, and more responsive to our residents.”
