STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The St. George Theatre will once again host a series of Murder Mystery Dinner Shows this month in conjunction with The Murder Mystery Company and catering by Italianissimo Ristorante.

The unique events will unfold with table seatings positioned on the historic stage as guests have the opportunity to face the majestic interior of the historic venue.

“Building off the success and great response from last year’s Murder Mystery series, these Murder Mystery Dinner Shows are a fun, unique way to enjoy a night out at the theatre” says Doreen P. Cugno, president and CEO of the non-profit theatre. “We are excited to offer our patrons the unique and exclusive opportunity to attend an event on stage like no one else has before.”

Each of the St. George Theatre’s Murder Mystery Dinner Shows have a theme: Friday, Jan. 16, a 1980s themed event is titled: “I Love the ’80s to Death” and Saturday, Jan. 17, a glamorous masked soiree titled “Midnight at the Masquerade.”

Both events begin promptly at 7:30 p.m. and run approximately three hours.

The dinner shows, catered by Italianissimo Ristorante, will feature appetizers, a buffet dinner, dessert, and an open bar.

Distinctive to these events is that attendees will receive the opportunity to dine on the stage of the theatre, with the house backlit in order give guests the perspective of performers who’ve graced the cultural gem.

Murder mystery events are interactive party games led by a team of actors during which attendees participate in a “whodunit” by using scripted questions, answers, hints, and clues to determine who among the party committed the crime.

Tickets are $135 per person and include dinner, open bar, and the show.

ABOUT THE ST. GEORGE THEATRE RESTORATION, INC.

The St. George Theatre Restoration Inc, is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to the restoration of the historic theater and its development as a cultural and performing arts center for Staten Island and all of New York City by providing community outreach programs, educational programs and public performances.
