GRAVESEND — A 71-YEAR-OLD man was hospitalized last month after being struck in the face with a shovel during a random, unprovoked attack amidst a snowstorm in Gravesend, reports the New York Post.
The assault occurred around 11:30 a.m. on Dec. 27 at Stryker Court and West First Street. The attacker approached the victim silently before smashing him in the head and fleeing. The victim was transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Coney Island in stable condition.
