Jackson Hole Mountain Resort has revealed the invited athlete roster for the eighth edition of Kings & Queens of Corbet’s, its annual big-mountain ski and snowboard showcase set to return this winter. The competition window runs February 7-14, with the exact event day selected based on weather and snow conditions. With the summit already reporting more than 200 inches of snowfall this season and additional storms in the forecast, conditions are shaping up for another high-consequence year in Corbet’s Couloir, one of the most demanding venues in freeride competition.

A Deep Field of Veterans and Newcomers

The 2026 lineup blends proven winners with emerging talent from across the freeride, freestyle, and competitive big-mountain worlds. Returning athletes include established standouts such as Alex Hackel and reigning Queen Ana Eyssimont, joined by rising skiers Kelly Hilleke and Jackson Hole local Wyatt Gentry.

On the snowboard side, the field features experienced freeriders Sarka Pancochova and Ulrik Badertscher, alongside first-time invitees Ellie Weiler and Mason Lemery, adding fresh energy and perspective to the event. Together, the roster represents a wide spectrum of styles, from technical precision to high-speed creativity, all set against the natural features and exposure that define Corbet’s.

Prize Structure and Format

Kings & Queens of Corbet’s will again offer $50,000 in total prize money, split evenly across men’s and women’s ski and snowboard divisions. Athletes are judged by their peers, maintaining the event’s athlete-driven format.

Each division will award:

$5,000 for first place

$3,000 for second place

$2,000 for third place

While podiums are discipline-specific, the event ultimately crowns one King and one Queen of Corbet’s. The top-scoring male and female athlete overall—regardless of whether they ski or snowboard—will each earn an additional $5,000 bonus and the event’s signature titles.

A Platform for Progression

Since launching in 2018, Kings & Queens of Corbet’s has become known for pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in big-mountain terrain. Past editions have featured event-firsts and progression-driven lines, including double backflips, switch spins, and high-difficulty rotations executed within the couloir’s tight confines.

The event continues to stand out for its equal prize money, athlete-judged format, and emphasis on creativity over rigid scoring metrics.

Spectating, Events, and Livestream

Fans can watch the action live from the base of Corbet’s Couloir, where spectators gather to see athletes drop into the iconic feature. Throughout the week, Jackson Hole will host Kings & Queens-related programming, including après events, highlight screenings, and athlete meet-and-greets, culminating in the public crowning of the King and Queen during Saturday night’s awards celebration.

For viewers at home, the event will be livestreamed on jacksonhole.com, with commentary from Jackson Hole locals Andrew Whiteford, Veronica Paulsen, and Randy Strand, joined by professional snowboarder and podcaster Jody Wachniak. The broadcast will include live check-ins with current and former competitors, as well as athletes from Jackson Hole’s partner community.

Full coverage will also be available across Jackson Hole’s digital platforms, including its Instagram channel @jacksonhole.
