A building fire early Saturday morning in Bedford-Stuyvesant left six people injured, including two firefighters, according to officials.

Authorities say the flames erupted inside a third floor of 1112 Bedford Ave. just before 5 a.m.

It took firefighters over two hours to contain the fire. It was not immediately clear how the fire started.

“I mean we care for everyone in this community…and I just hope everyone’s OK,” said Alyssa, a Bed-Stuy resident.
