New York Giants edge rusher Brian Burns has earned 2025 Second-Team All-Pro honors from the Associated Press, his first career All-Pro selection.

The 27-year-old delivered a breakout season in his second year with the Giants, posting career highs with 16.5 sacks, 67 tackles (22 for loss), 31 quarterback hits, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and seven passes defensed across 17 games.

Despite playing through multiple injuries and on a 4-13 team, Burns emerged as New York’s most dominant player.

He joined Danielle Hunter (Houston Texans) and Aidan Hutchinson (Detroit Lions) on the second team. The first-team edges were Myles Garrett (Cleveland Browns), Will Anderson Jr. (Houston Texans), and Micah Parsons (Green Bay Packers).

The accolade caps a rewarding individual season for Burns, who also earned his third career Pro Bowl selection — his first as a Giant — and was voted team MVP and Defensive Player of the Year by Giants Wire.

Acquired in a blockbuster 2024 trade, Burns credited offseason work with Dexter Lawrence for adding power to his arsenal, saying earlier: “I’m just trying to take my game to a level it’s never been.”

Mission accomplished and rewarded.
