Gas prices continue to fall across the country — and New York drivers are seeing the same trend.

According to AAA, the statewide average for regular gas is holding at $3.13 per gallon, while the national average has dropped to $3.04, nearing the $3 mark for the first time in four years.

AAA says the decline is driven by lower crude oil prices, reduced demand, and the switch to cheaper winter-blend gasoline. Oil is currently trading between $57 and $61 a barrel, and gas demand has fallen to 8.45 million barrels per day, according to the Energy Information Administration.

Diesel prices remain steady, with the national average at $3.62 and New York’s average at $3.87, unchanged from last week.
