NEW YORK (PIX11) — Two teenage boys have been accused of murder after a 17-year-old was stabbed to death in Woodhaven on Friday, according to police.

A 17-year-old boy and Derek Trejo, 18, were arrested on back-to-back days and charged with murder, police announced on Sunday.

The victim, later identified as Josue Argudo, was found by police with a stab wound to the neck around 3:43 p.m. on Friday after a 911 call came in for an ongoing assault on the corner of Jamaica Avenue and 76th Street.

Officials said Argudo was rushed to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead by staff.

The teen was killed just blocks from his home in the neighborhood, according to police records. It was not immediately made clear what may have led up to the stabbing.
