Garber departing Crain’s New York for New York Focus

Nick Garber

Crain’s New York Business reporter Nick Garber is leaving the news organization to join New York Focus as a politics reporter.

He has been at Crain’s New York since January 2023.

Garber previously worked at Patch, where he covered the Upper East Side, Astoria and Long Island City with a lively mix of breaking news, features and scoops on subjects ranging from politics to real estate, housing to transportation.

Prior to his two years reporting in New York, Garber was West Coast breaking news editor at Patch. Before that, he interned at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and the Burlington Free Press. He’s a graduate of Middlebury College.
