MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) – A man was taken to an area hospital after he was injured when the bicycle he was riding and a sport utility vehicle collided Friday afternoon on the west side of Manhattan, officials said.
The collision was reported around 12:30 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Waters Street and Anderson Avenue.
According to the Riley County Police Department, officers found that a 2023 Jeep Compass, driven by Glen Milheim, 77, of Junction City, collided with Nataniel Ervin, 54, of Ogden, who was riding a bicycle.

Ervin was transported to Irwin Army Community Hospital at Fort Riley for treatment of his injuries. Information on Ervin’s condition wasn’t available early Monday afternoon.
Milheim was issued a citation for failing to yield at a stop sign, officials said.
