The U.S. Coast Guard’s Station and Aids Navigation Team has a new home in Buffalo.
Officials cut the ribbon on Fuhrmann Boulevard Monday, marking the completion of the more than $30 million project.
The team now has a modernized shore facility that improves day-to-day operations, all while supporting a safer work environment.
“Every Coast Guard mission begins and ends at a Coast Guard shore facility,” officials said. “And this facility will empower the crews that work in between these walls to respond to contingencies, facilitate the flow of commerce and secure our maritime borders.”
The new facility is located at Sector Eastern Great Lakes, 1 Fuhrmann Blvd., Buffalo.
