STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. \u2014 A 33-year-old man hurled a racial slur while robbing a victim at gunpoint in Stapleton last week, authorities allege.<\/p>\n
Eric Green of Manor Road in Castleton Corners stands accused in the robbery on Cedar Street near Hudson Street on Jan. 7 at about 5 a.m., according to the criminal complaint.<\/p>\n
The defendant and an unapprehended individual approached the victim.<\/p>\n
Green allegedly pointed what appeared to be a gun at the victim.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou b——, you white motherf—–, give me your wallet,\u201d the defendant is quoted as saying in the criminal complaint.<\/p>\n
Green allegedly reached into the victim\u2019s pocket and snatched a wallet holding a debit card.<\/p>\n
At about 8 p.m. the next day, Green allegedly gave a false name and date of birth to officers on Broad Street.<\/p>\n
The defendant has been charged with robbery, criminal possession of a weapon, grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property, petit larceny, false personation, menacing and harassment.<\/p>\n
The defendant previously was convicted in June 2021 of criminal possession of a narcotic drug in the fourth degree and was sentenced to 42 months of incarceration and 18 months of post release supervision.<\/p>\n
Green has pleaded not guilty to all charges and his bail has been set at $100,000 bond\/$50,000 cash. <\/p>\n
