Former New York City Mayor Eric Adams<\/a> was caught on video telling a heckler to \u201cgo f\u2013k yourself\u201d during a heated confrontation at an airport.<\/p>\n

A clip of the encounter, posted to Reddit on Tuesday (January 13), shows Adams being heckled by a masked passenger while deplaning a flight from New York City to Dallas. <\/p>\n

The footage doesn’t show what led to the exchange. At one point, the heckler told Adams, \u201cEric Adams, please punch me in the face. I would like if you punched me in the face.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cGo f\u2013k yourself\u2026I\u2019m not the mayor anymore,\u201d Adams responded in the clip. <\/p>\n

As the confrontation continued on the jet bridge, the former mayor leaned toward the woman and quipped, \u201cYou\u2019re gonna see the Brooklyn in me,\u201d prompting her to shove past him.<\/p>\n

It is unclear why Adams was traveling to Texas. A day earlier, Adams appeared in Manhattan to announce his next venture, a cryptocurrency initiative he said would help combat antisemitism.<\/p>\n

Video of the incident went viral<\/a> on social media. Adams later responded to The New York Post’s coverage of the confrontation on X with a single word: \u201cExactly.\u201d<\/p>\n

Adams\u2019 spokesman, Todd Shapiro, defended his behavior, saying he is now \u201ca private citizen and was harassed.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe clip is selectively edited, lacks critical context, and misrepresents what actually occurred,\u201d Shapiro added, declining to add additional details.<\/p>\n
